When the hills of the northern Vosges turn ochre, autumn will soon have reached Bitche. Its sandstone vessel will still brave the centuries, but then it will cross between the sea of gold and the sea of mist. At its feet, in the Garden for Peace, will appear a warm autumn village with its typical decorations and its market. It will be bustling with stalls and counters where you can stock up on the season's specialities. The harvest will have come to an end and the producers' stalls will be stocked with the last rays of sunshine: flowers and infusions, vegetables and broths, fruit and potions... The craftsmen will also have completed their palettes with all the pre-winter necessities: candles and candleholders, remedies and handkerchiefs...
